Research and Assessments
Relational Intelligence is being developed as an understandable, measurable, teachable, and applicable framework for leadership, human connection, and organizational effectiveness. Ongoing research efforts focus on refining the theory, exploring its practical applications, and developing tools that help individuals and organizations better understand the relational conditions that shape trust, engagement, performance, and well-being.
Drawing from attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, psychological safety, organizational behavior, leadership studies, and systems thinking, this work seeks to better understand how relational environments influence the way people lead, collaborate, adapt, and thrive.

Assessments
Several assessment instruments are currently under development to support the study and application of Relational Intelligence.
Relational Intelligence Assessment (RIA)
The Relational Intelligence Assessment is designed to measure key dimensions of relational functioning and provide insight into how individuals perceive, interpret, and respond to relational conditions. The assessment is intended to support research, leadership development, and personal growth.
Leadership Experience Questionnaire (LEQ)
The Leadership Experience Questionnaire explores how leaders are experienced by those around them. Rather than focusing solely on leadership behaviors, the LEQ examines the relational impact leaders have on trust, communication, accountability, psychological safety, and workplace engagement.
Leader Relational Environment Assessment (LREA)
The Leader Relational Environment Assessment evaluates the quality of the relational environment created by leaders and teams. The assessment focuses on factors such as trust, openness, responsiveness, support, communication, and relational climate.
Validation and Future Development
Assessment development is an ongoing process. Current efforts include expert review, content validation, and future psychometric evaluation. The long-term goal is to create practical tools that support leadership development, organizational improvement, research, and learning.
